Who Should Attend

Psychologists, Marriage and Family Therapists, Therapists, Licensed Professional Counselors, Social Workers, Mental Health Workers, School Counselors, Pastoral Counselors, Pastors, Lay Ministry Leaders, Group Leaders, Case Workers, Those in Recovery Work.


Continuing Education Credits (9 core hours)

Attendees will receive certificates signed by the presenters to confirm CEU hours completed. Participants must attend the entire workshop to receive approved credits.

Pastor's Continuing Education Credits

Correlating credit hours for training hours will be offered by the Sullivan Center for Innovative Ministry at MidAmerica Nazarene Univeristy. Participants must attend the entire workshop to recieved approved certificate.

Treating Sexual Obsessions

  • Session III: Working with the couple (recovering from shattered vows)
  • Session IV: Working with the group
  • Session V:  Working one on one                          

Saturday Afternoon Seminar

Getting Our Hands Dirty

  • Session VI: Live work with a couple (tips and strategies)
  • Session VII: Live work with a group (tips and strategies)
  • Session VIII: Live work with an individual (tips and strategies)

Objectives

  • To understand the relationship between biology, psychology, and spirituality for sexual obsessions.
  • To understand and be able to assess the progression of sexual obsessions.
  • To understand some basic psycho-educational elements to inform others about sexual obsessions.
  • To understand how to facilitate work with couples, groups, and individuals with sexual obsessions.
  • To observe and begin practicing the skills needed to work with the sexually obsessed.
